Today, companies take culture into proper account due to itseffects on employee productivity at the corporate workplace. Forexample, since companies know that certain cultures value sports andgames, some firms usually set aside annual sports days for theiremployees. Culture fit at the corporate workplace is also evidentwhen companies allow staff members to attend religious festivities(Ardissono, Kuflik &Petrelli, 2012).

An individual can sustain and grow a useful culture by reaffirmingand advancing a particular culture. For instance, in music, anindividual can opt to practice songs that remind listeners about therelevance of cultural activities in today’s changing world (Holm,Jarrick & Scott, 2015).
The Role Of The Individual Versus The Role Of Government InSustaining And Building A Healthy And Robust Culture Through TheHumanities
The government has various roles in building and sustaining arobust culture. For example, the government has a duty of buildingcultural heritage centers that teach various vocational aspects ofhumanities. The government also has an obligation of providingrelevant materials needed in teaching humanities in learninginstitutions. On the other hand, individuals can build and sustain arobust culture by preserving their cultural heritage and respectingthat of other communities (Ardissono,Kuflik & Petrelli, 2012).

Educational institutions have an obligation of imparting facts andknowledge about the cultural heritage of diverse societies and theirapplicability in the contemporary world. Specifically, institutionsof higher learning have a role of furnishing students with usefulhumanities and cultural concepts that encourage them to embrace moralvalues (Belfiore, 2014).
The Areas Of The Humanities That Should Be Emphasized And Why
The areas of humanities that should be promoted includephilosophy, history, law, linguistics, archaeology, and classicalliterature. According to Holm,Jarrick & Scott (2015), these fields of humanitiescontain practical aspects of reinventing and applying culture tochange the lives of individuals.
In summary, culture and humanities are inseparable. Individuals,the government, and educational institutions have a significant rolein culture. Sustaining a culture requires a lot of effort.
