1.Not Passing NCLEX

NationalCouncil Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is an important trainingprocedure for nurses in the United States and Canada. It tests thecompetency level of nurses after completion of formal education. Theprofessional test gives nurses the permission to practice nursing(Joseph, 2012).

FailingNCLEX generates a sad feeling. This is because it indicates that thestudent is not qualified to work as a nurse in the United States.Failing the exam also makes the student think that nursing is achallenging or difficult career that has extensive regulations. It isadvisable for the student to re-sit the next NCLEX. He or she shouldengage in detailed research and studies so as to acquire knowledge, skills, and experience for passing the next examination.

2.Words of Wisdom

Apeer in the nursing career should engage in continuous studies, internship, and research. These activities improve the ability of thestudents to pass NCLEX. Continuous studies enable the student tounderstand emerging theories and practices in nursing (Joseph, 2012).The internship enables the student to understand the actual workenvironment of a nurse.

3.Five Things to Know

Thefirst issue is safe care environment. The student should understandhow to ensure a safe and healthy medical environment that is freefrom hazards and infections. Protective devices like gloves should beworn when handling patients. Secondly, the student should demonstrateprofessional integrity by treating patients with respect. The thirdconcept is conducting health research. Emerging challenges in healthcare are easily addressed through research and evidence-basedstudies. Fourth, the student should know psychosocial factors.Patients with cognitive challenges should be subjected to effectiveguidance and counseling sessions. Finally, the physiologicalintegrity of the patient should be understood. The comfort ofpatients in health care facilities should be ensured. Patients shouldhave access to appropriate furniture and healthy meals.

4.Reading “20 Memory Tips”

Thekey issue that I learnt is being selective. Students access a hugevolume of information. The student should identify and analyze keyinformation in nursing theory and practice for example, provision ofa safe care environment.

Iagree with two peers. First, creating associations is important inmemory because nursing information closely relates to events in thesociety. Parents provide good care to family members likewise, nurses should provide good care to patients. Second, relaxation isimportant in memory. Learners should have sufficient rest and comfortlevels before engaging in active research, studies, and examinations.
