Question1

Assessmentmethods are techniques utilized by the instructor to gatherinformation to establish the extent to which the learners expressdesired learning outcomes. Various evaluation methods are used toexamine the learning outcomes. To start with, the instructor has tointroduce a topic to the student that guides the assessment process. For instance, one may give the students a subject concerning thecauses and effects of global warming. The study goals are analyzedbelow:

  • To assess the students’ capability to execute research on wide-ranging subjects

  • To analysis, the students’ capability to suitably describe what is global warming, causes as well as its overall effects in climatic changes.

Theevaluation technique that will be utilized in this case is informalversus formal evaluation. First of all, the instructor will introducethe topic during regular class hours whereby students will beexpected to give their thoughts concerning the subject. This is aninformal kind of evaluation that will enable the tutor to determinedifferent capabilities and knowledge of the learners regarding thistopic (Davies, 2012).The probable questions that will be used toanalyze ideas and beliefs include, what are the major causesattributed to global warming among others.

Studentswill be then be given time to research more concerning the subjectand gives their results during the upcoming class hours. It will helpto review the learner’s capability to explore and convey theiropinions about the subject to their colleagues. Moreover, the classpresentation will allow the instructor to build up ways of motivatingthe students to continue with their research.

Theformal type of evaluation will be performed at the end of thesemester where each student will be required to have analyzed indetails the cause and effects global warming. The other evaluationwill be conducted at the end of the academic year where every studentwill be required to present a well-written assignment followingdescribing global warming and feasible solutions to the globalwarming. The former evaluation examines the students’ ability toanalyze what is taught in the class.

Question2

Motivationfactors to be included in the assessment to encourage the students todo well.

  • Preparing learner for success the tutor does this by informing the students the expected performance as well as the learning goals of the unit. It helps the students to stay focused since they know what is expected of them.

  • The quality of evaluations to boost the students’ performance, tutors have to keep on giving them quality tests that capture the unit progress. These tests help to assess the students’ ability as well as assisting the instructor to develop better ways of guiding the students in that particular unit (Williams &amp Williams, 2012).

  • Communicating feedback to enhance the learners’ performance, teachers ought to keep on communicating the progress to the students. It will not motivate the learners to perform well but also will help the teachers to discover ways of improving the class performance such as the formation of groups based on the capabilities of the students.

  • Rewarding students based on the performance school management needs to develop ways of warding the students to motivate them. It encourages all students to work hard since they feel the management recognizes and appreciates their success.
